Japanese Food Cooking Trial- Attempt 2
Japanese Food Cooking Trial- Attempt 2
I didn't put up the picture of attempt number one, but I have decided to learn how to cook my Japanese food favorites (or at least get close), because when I go back to the States, I will probably ache for some Japanese cooking.
Attempt one what Shougayaki (pork-ginger stir-fry), miso soup and eggplant with miso sauce. It was okay. The shougayaki was a little weird.
Attempt two was teriyaki chicken with homemade sauce, namuru (technically Korean, but a mixture of vegetables with a sesame sauce). This meal turned out pretty well.
I bought a beginners cook book, it even has cutting techniques and explanations about different ingredients- granted, it's in Japanese, but I can read most of it. Sometimes I do something, then I realize I misunderstood the directions. Oh well, it's a learning process!
