Omurazakura

While Omura natives know all about Omurazakura, those from even as close as Nagasaki often don't know about Omura's special variation of cherry blossom, found only in Omura Park. These little puff balls have between 60-200 petals and bloom about 2 weeks later than the other cherry trees. They are also the inspiration for my favorite character, Omuranchan. This one flower bloomed earlier than its brethren, but the rest of the tree should be in full bloom early next week.
