So, so gay.

April 2000. The top one is just a particularly crude gay joke - although just imagine that shirt - and the bottom one is a celebration that I'd printed 200 of these. More and more lately I'd started having the characters talk to ME directly, or make a reference to their own status as comic strip characters. Doonesbury does this - you can tell I never stopped trying to be Gary Trudeau.

Last note: that's Chuque in the corner, fluffing his anatomically incorrect breasts - but given how small the strip was printed, and that Chuque had appeared in drag a few times, the joke didn't quite work. Should have been Ben but I didn't think he was recognizable enough.
