Blackthorn blossom

It is always exciting to see the blackthorn blossom out, strewn through most of the hedges in the fields here . It is beautiful in its own right of course, but it is also announcing that spring is really here!
This corner is close to the railway line which used to have a station in our village, but now the train just trundles through!
Our bowls group had a lovely lunch out today - and then we played for two hours afterwards! The standard of play was remarkably high!
Back home to make several loaves for the pop-up breakfast items stall at the village Cafe tomorrow.
My goodness, sometimes the pace of living here is almost frantic!
