Thought you were going to get out more?

Forgot to take the camera with me for the morning walk along the canal with the dogs - and Dad. By the time I got back the rain had settled in and there was no way I was going out again. What a difference, cloudy but dry and soooo calm when we went out. Then the spots of rain just kept coming.

Lovely walk again, this time I was rewarded with the sighting of the Nuthatch. A pair are nesting in an old Oak on a bend in the canal. Haven't had a sighting of them since about this time last year - spring is great for birdwatching. Heard a Chiffchaff calling too, sort of took me by surprise as for some reason I'd associated them as summer visitors .

K2 out with a friend tonight so caught up with some TV and watched "Shetland" this evening. Quite the vegetable by the end of the evening although I haven't seen the end of the story yet - had an early call to collect K2. Exciting times, her friend has an interview for a job in Cardiff tomorrow, so fingers crossed.

By the time I get home and remember to get a photo the storyline from "Shetland" about a gas pipeline must have influenced me, so I photograph the flame from the old gas fire. Yawn.
