Blackwood Jazz Combo

Three of the people in the Blackwood Jazz Combo are our friends. Every Wednesday evening they play at the Citrus City Grill in the south-end of our community. We rarely get out there to see them. So tonight was the night.

Keith, who is the leader of the band, used to be the music director at our church. Lia who can be seen in the front of my crummy photo sings with the praise team at church almost every Sunday. Eric, who plays bass, but is not visible in the photo also is a member of the church praise team. They are each amazingly gifted musicians. Keith is a married man with adult children and grandkids. Eric is married and has three daughters who are all in college, and Lia is a college student. So there is quite a diversity of age in the Combo.

This was a nice night out, but I told Mr. Fun staying home is also immensely wonderful. And the three pooches were delighted when we arrived back to the house where they were waiting for us.
