Book group

Tonight we discussed A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki, deservedly shortlisted for the Booker Prize last year.

It weaves together the stories of a teenage Japanese girl and her family in Tokyo with a blocked writer of Japanese extraction in Canada. It's captivating and imaginative - and stayed with me even though I finished it over a month ago.

Unfortunately I can't photograph my copy as I gave it to N when we were in Cape Town - so here are some other books from my shelves!
