Time to shed clothes? Not bloody likely!

I spotted the hawthorn blossom on my walk through Queens Park this morning. Hawthorn is also known as the May tree, and the old saying "ne'er cast a clout til May be out" refers to the blossom, not the calendar month as many people think. So according to the may blossom I should be shedding a few layers - but it's still freezing! Come on Spring, time to wake up!
