Birthday Boo

Today was Boo's 37th birthday. The way things have been of late it was a surprise to me that we'd be spending the evening together. Unfortunately she had a days work to do, so this morning I made sure she had breakfast in bed before I left for work. Her presents also seemed to go down nicely, too. Upon my return home I cooked her a nice 3 course meal consisting of king prawns and smoked salmon to start, then roasted garlic chicken with a homemade salsa. It was delicious! I cheated with a purchased pudding.... Then I chose to get up mega early in the morning to do my work so we could spend the evening together on the sofa. It was a lovely evening.

So with all that, plus her weekend away in Dublin I asked her the question at bedtime of how her birthday had been. "Ok" was her reply. It hurt.
