Cosy cat

Over the years—our cats are quite elderly—we have bought a number of cat beds. Smokey and Spots will curl up in a new bed for a day or two and then simply ignore it. Eventually these beds get thrown out or given away. I have kept three particularly nice ones. One now has a tray on it and doubles as a coffee table in the lounge; the other two live in the loggia. I was surprised and pleased today to see Smokey contentedly curled up asleep out there in one of them. And it wasn't a one off fluke - she was in there again later in the day. I stroked Smokey and told her she was a clever girl. Then there was a 'meow' and Spots poked her head out of a cardboard box to see whether she could have some fuss as well. I wish I'd been able to catch that photo!
