Return of the Mystery Object

Last May - on 3rd May to be precise - I came across a mystery object on the rocky beach at the Bight of Laward at Grutness.

And I came across it again today not too far from where it was a year ago.

Last May the object was fairly close to the waterline, since then it's been lifted high up the beach and has certainly had some of it's rough edges knocked off by the winter storms.
