People who know me know I don't do dogs. I do, however, walk frequently with this dog's human, and because today turned out, yet again, to be grey and dreich and because I'm fed up taking photos of grey skies and green forest that would look wonderful with some dappled shade and the sun slanting through it but as it is just looks like all the other green forests I've taken photos of (pause for breath) I thought I'd take a photo of a small black spaniel instead. After a few attempts, we got her - as countless Glasgow mothers have said to their weans - to "sit up nice."

So today, I give you Penny.
