Cling to khlong
This is one side of Bangkok I like: khlong life. The khlongs are a network of canals that crisscross the city making it a sort of Venice of the Orient.
This is a water taxi station. People use it to go from one side of the city to the other beating off traffic! The only drawback is that it is a bit of a sport to get in or out of the water taxi.
What many people don't know is that you can also walk along the khlongs. There are small houses with gardens, trees and it is also cooler than walking on the city sidewalks.
Yes, while in the 'City of Angels', cling to the khlongs and perhaps you will get a small slice of Paradise!
