Life changers

Meeting last night with old friends, I reflected on the huge influence they have had on our lives. The couple that still lives in Brazil are arguably our oldest friends here, our companions in the theatre, at work and play, neighbours in the hills (until their house got washed away), always there for us.

The other two are have been back in England for years, but before they went, gathered together a group of people who wanted to adopt children. The pooled knowledge this produced helped us and many others to adopt and we're eternally grateful.

The first couple's daughter is godmother to our older daughter.
