What a stink!

Consternation in the local parish as a sign appeared recently on a path beside St John's church. It's a tarmac sign in black and yellow, pointing out to dog owners that there is a hefty fine if their dog is caught pooping and they don't do the necessary scooping. In a town like Keswick, (where hundreds of thousands of dogs visit every year), you wouldn't think it was needed but that's the general public for you. Anyhow, some locals have taken objection to the sign and as you can see, have started the process of destroying it. That's what I like about the Cumbrians, rightly or wrongly, they just get on with it, none of this democratic namby pamby stuff. We don't like it, so it's going!
