Walking in the Lakes

It's Wednesday today and the Haltwhistle long walkers had a day out into the Lake District. We did not do a long walk, but enjoyed 6 miles from Howtown by Ullswater. The views were stunning today and I have had difficulty choosing between them for my blip. In the end, the walkers won!

Here are some of our group of 27 enjoying walking on a ridge. After the walk we went to Steve and Lesley's beautiful chalet at Pooley Bridge for tea/beer and cakes provided by the group. As you can imagine there was more cake than we could eat, although I think the beer went down quite quickly.

I must walk in the Lakes more - always my resolution after I have been for a visit.
