Tudor Splendour

This morning we went for a walk down to the Thames at Richmond. It was busy, with a half marathon taking place, rowers on the river and people sitting in riverside pubs having drink. This afternoon we drove to Bushy Park and went for a walk around Hampton Court Palace Gardens. We saw the fountain garden with all its yew trees, the formal gardens to the side of the palace, and the giant vine. Such splendid formal gardens. Despite the sunshine, it was chilly with a cold easterly wind.
