Brittany, Dinan: rue de l'Horloge
A typical street scene in the mediaeval walled town of Dinan.
To the left is the tall Beffroi, a belfry (bell tower) which also functioned as a clock tower and watchtower.
To the right is la Maison de la Harpe (the House of the Harp) a building in typical Breton style. Built in the 16th century, its front has three granite pillars, above which is half-timbering decorated with some delightful wood-carvings. It houses displays and events relating to the celtic harp as well as other traditional harps of the world.
