Fancy pants

My friend B's family is from the Northern Territory and very involved in Aboriginal art, having had a number of famous artists paint on their property. They had some spare tickets to a fundraising dinner at the National Gallery of Victoria, and we were lucky to be invited to go.
Got dressed up in our finery, saw an exhibition of bark paintings by Papua New Guinean artists (lots of geometric patterns - quite different from indigenous Australian art) and had a delicious dinner.
Much fun.

Would have liked to have blipped some of the art, but there is a no photography rule. Instead, today's picture is of the beautiful flowers Joey and Stevie Babes gave me the other day.
