Super Treat Dinner
Today at work the hours dragged on in the afternoon and it was so hard to feel motivated. I had a couple of task hours to get a few bits done including photographing our Dublin window for VM and shortlisting some CVs and application forms for interviews on Friday.
I watched some more Saving Mr Banks on my lunch break, can't get enough of that film, and saw the best bit where Mrs Travers dances.
Paul went home an hour early as he wasn't feeling well and after that time seemed to slow down until my home time at 7pm. Ali popped in on her day off to go through some bits in Handy Manny's HR toolbox and it was nice to see her.
After I left work I marched home as Luke had promised a super surprise dinner and when I came through the door I was greeted with a warm hug and lead into the kitchen to see an array of buffet style treats for tea.
I had chicken drumsticks, avocado, falafel, courgette and halloumi filo pastry parcels, olives and mushroom frittata. Best of all there is plenty left, including fresh crab meat for tomorrow and egg custards for dessert! I do love egg custards, and I do love my Mr Luke.
Today I am grateful for the choice of so many delicious foods for my tea, when so many people go hungry.
