Captain America 2 : The Winter Soldier
Tonight was the Irish premier of Captain America 2 and Ali and I had tickets courtesy of Paul to see it in the Savoy cinema.
We saw Mo from Walt Disney Ireland and although we knew some of the cast members also had tickets, luckily we didn't run into them and had a peaceful evening. The movie was far better than the first Captain America as it followed the story of events that happened in The Avengers, rather than what happened in the world war.
This movie also introduced us to a new character, The Falcon, an ex soldier who used mechanical wings for special missions. He also provided some comic relief from all the action, for example, when asked whose opinion he favoured he pointed to the Cap and said, "I do whatever he does, just slower!"
The film was great with some surprising plot twists, and I have read that Bucky the Winter Soldier eventually becomes Captain America when Steve Rogers dies.
Afterwards we went to McDonalds for fries, burgers and mozzarella sticks, yum, cheesemas!
I cabbed it home to a dark house, where Ted was eagerly waiting to be fed and Luke was out for a drink with work. I fed the cat, cosied up in my PJs and took a hot water bottle to bed.
Today I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences offered to me whilst working at TDS Dublin, the freebie tickets are amazing!
