Great Crested Grebe

Up early and a trip to the shooting range for hubbie to re sight his scopes. I was suppose to help, but can't see through them properly, they are so not like a camera.

My venue for today Whisby Nature Reserve. A place I have wanted to visit for some time. A beautiful place to visit but a little disappointing for me to come inland and discover that this is a breeding site for the black headed gulls! That being said, we had a lovely day and got a few shots of birds that were not gulls - coals to Newcastle kind of springs to mind lol. The walks were beautiful, the cafe was very clean and offered a nice selection of food. I also picked up an entry form for the 2014 Photographic competition which I might have a go at.

Got back in time to take Charlie for a run at Donna Nook and managed to get another couple of bird shots. Not had anything different for my bird freaks contest for a few weeks now. I had hoped going inland might have given me sightings of different species. Never mind tomorrow is another day.

My choice of shot today is a Beautiful Great Crested Grebe. Who knows I may enter this in the competition. Other shots taken today can be viewed on my Flickr account
