Floods of light

There was report on the TV that the local landmark of Rivington Pike Tower was to be lit up red from early evening to 9pm each night for 2 weeks and confirmed by internet search, so Mrs Wild and me set off around about 5:30 to walk up the Pike. When we got there no sign of any activity, lights, generator etc. We were not the only disappointed punters as a few other hardy souls had braved the early evening chill wind. We were treated to glorious golden globe sinking in the west a few clouds and it would have been a cracking show. PS It appears that the lighting up is only during the week following reference to small print on the internet.
