Primary Ear Care #Zanzibar

These twin boys were both diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss by IMPACT Zanzibar's Primary Ear Care team.

Their disability only came to light when they fell behind in their schoolwork and their behaviour deteriorated, since they could not hear instructions from teachers and their parents.

They have now been fitted with bilateral hearing aids. A local colleague told us, ‘Their understanding in class has improved remarkably’.
