Day 41: Morning

Plans come in all different shapes and sizes. Some will be very complicated with lots of sessions of different lengths and intensities, some like mine will be very straight forward. The key thing for me is to make sure I try to be as consistent as I can be. Missing a session or two is not a problem, so long as the trend is positive.

For example, this week is the first time I have managed to complete every session when I have wanted to, nothing has got in the way. No colds, no injuries, no weather woes and no unexpected events that required a last minute adjustment. Have I been concerned that this is the case? Not at all.

The hours I have been putting in have been moving in the right direction. My running feels solid, my bike is improving steadily and I can see a big difference in my swimming now that I am doing 2 sessions a week. Hopefully things will keep going like this.

Today's ride was an early one. Out the door just after 0630 so that I could fit in 50 miles before heading out for a stag day. A day of go-karting, watching rugby and lots of carbs and protein (beer and burgers).
