Sunseeker

There are many of these down here in Poole where we are having a fabulous stay at the RNLI College and Training Centre for A & C's wedding yesterday.

The view from our bedroom window is awesome and this view is from the balcony of the Slipway Bar on the floor beneath just as the sun was slipping away and whilst aperitifs were slipping down our throats before we went down for dinner*

After a pretty late night last night it was a bit of a mad rush to get to breakfast this morning after which we took a very bracing walk along the Quay and struggled against the fierce cold wind. We admired all the big, no huge, boats everywhere which we came to the conclusion we probably couldn't really afford???!!!!! and were amazed at the sight of the enormous transporter boat carrying 5 or 6 large vessels ready for export. Then we went to Bournemouth, down memory lane for T. He was born there 72 years ago - lots of changes of course, but memories came flooding back.

*Dinner was excellent and the chef has catered for my gluten-free requirements admirably - even producing a special plate for me at the wedding buffet last night. I can't fault our stay at the RNLI College, Poole. Anyone can stay here, you should come!
