THE ROYAL ARCADE

We spent today in Norwich. We looked around the town's old book shops and the back lanes before going into the cathedral. There were beautiful stained glass windows and architecture. There was also a group of school children playing instruments practising pieces for a memorial service that was due to take place.

We then spent some time in the castle museum. here there was also a group of children preparing a drama for the next day.
I took a lot of photographs throughout the day and in the end I chose this one.
It is the entrance to The Royal Arcade which was designed by George Skipper in 1899 and is in the Arts and Crafts style. It is ornately tiled in many patterns and pictures. It was really fascinating walking through.
A good day.
