Sunday: Marija Bistrica

Well, having had glorious sunshine all week yesterday, and today, were chilly and a bit damp.  Nonetheless, we decided to take a drive out and go to the town of Marija Bistrica, about an hour outside of Zagreb.

I say town, but it is pretty tiny.  Nonetheless, it has a very impressive church which hundreds of thousand of pilgrims apparently visit each year.  The drive itself was also lovely and rural so, all in all, a good day out.  

We were done on parking, though, being charged about five times the going rate by some guy in a vacant lot............

P.S.  I am not fibbing about the weather - we were just lucky while we were walking round hence the break in the skies.......
