Spring flowers
Friday
Just a quick blip of some of the Spring flowers along the grassy path that runs alongside our garden, taken at lunchtime, in between bible study in the morning and Book Club in the afternoon. We were discussing the book, Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, a debut, best-selling novel by Jamie Ford, about the friendship and love between Henry Lee, a Chinese boy and Keiko Okabe, a Japanese girl, during the time of Japanese interment in Seattle during the Second World War. I seemed to be almost the odd one out having really enjoyed it and found it a very pleasant read - most of the others found it too superficial and not very well written. I guess my tastes aren't very sophisticated!
