Church at Saint Mammes

A grey wet morning gave way to a largely sunny afternoon, though much cooler than of late, and with quite a cold wind. We went to work out at the gym late morning then, after lunch out in Fontainebleau, we went for a drive out to Saint Mammes, near Moret sur Loing. Saint Mammes is located at the confluence of the River Loing and the River Seine, and had been planning on taking a blip of some of the barges moored there, but in the end I decided to go with this view of the ancient church, all that now remains of an XIth c. Benedictine priory. This evening we were out at a choral concert at the Eglise Saint Louis in Fontainebleau, featuring Mozart's Requiem, performed by the chorus and soloists from the Prague Opera, which was very enjoyable.
