Faces of Fiona #96
The Otters strike back.
Thursday. As it turned out, we only had Fiona today after school. I had a plan - go to the Burke, have snack, play with the dinosaurs and then take a walk on campus on a gorgeous sunny day to the quad with the magnificent cherry trees for the “First Day of Spring Outstanding Photo”. Well, we had the snack at the Burke Cafe and played with the dinosaurs, but then Fiona had other ideas - come home and pretend grocery shop for tomatoes, cheese, pizza, banana, pie and cake and then go to our neighborhood playground (where there are NO cherry trees!), and later have pancakes for dinner. So how could I not feature her today - on the slide at the playground (sans cherry blossoms) in the star wars shirt she chose to wear for her school picture today. We brought her to her home just a tad early as we were meeting old friends and neighbors , (1 still in Seattle, 2 have lived on the East coast many years now, here for an academic conference) for a really fun evening out for dinner. Our kids all grew up together - there were many fine memories and laughs shared. Now I'm tired and have to go to sleep…lots on the schedule tomorrow...
