Mary

Today has been chilly, windy, and grey and it didn't seem like a good day for a walk in the park. So having some extra time, I decided to visit my friend Mary. Years ago she lived just down the street. Eventually she moved into a wonderful residence facility in Willoughby, and she has been happily living there for quite a few years. Mary has some health issues, but she is always cheerful and gets on the Breckenridge bus to come to church every Sunday morning. Unfortunately she had a bad fall about 10 days ago and required extensive surgery to repair her leg, so now she is convalescing. I only had a quick minute to grab this picture before the caregiver wheeled her to the dining room for lunch. Her parting words to me were, "Please tell all my friends that I said hello!" So Sunday morning that is what I will do, and I'll even have a picture to show them that she is still smiling.
