Quiet Sunday

Carl's neighbours from across the street dropped in yesterday afternoon and invited us to lunch today. Great crack (lovely home-made curry and lots more). Chat and camaraderie went on for quite a while after the actual food, and it was just as well that we only had to cross the road, especially since the rain and the wind had made a very unwelcome return last night and had continued non-stop for hours and hours and hours.

Back in Carl's place we settled down to a couple more DVDs, beginning with The Boat that Rocked. We found it hugely disappointing, and gave up after forty minutes or so. After that, it was a joy to turn to an unexpected gem of a feel-good movie: Kinky Boots.

So, definitely a quiet Sunday, iof that's all there is to report. Sometimes quiet is good, though.
