There's' a man in our tree!

Consequently the Siskins, Redpoll and Goldfinch disappeared. Although I am sure they will return once HE is finished. Another mixed day of weather but the sun is out and John has escaped from his indoor duties to look at the poor old apple tree. This is the first winter the bark has had to recover from the deer damage, it would be good to see the tree flourish again but doubtful that it will.

Once a year John removes the unnecessary growth, the long thin shoots, the tree doesn't produce good apples but we like to see the blossom which in turn will attract the bullfinch. And now it looks like rain. So no birds but a man walking in a tree
