80A Humber Rd

Waking up with no phone, a 5% laptop battery, broken charger and no wifi was not the best start to my day. I know we rely on technology, but when you're alone on the other side of the world, trying to organise your life and in an area you don't know, you REALLY rely on technology - and all mine disappeared! Oh man, I panicked. Luckily my landlord dropped in and told me the wifi password so I was able to use the remaining dregs of my battery life to locate the nearby PC and phone stores that would fix all my problems!

Once I was back online and had spoken to Damian, the day got much better. It was still exhausting, but productive. I saw about getting a UK bank account, paid my first months rent, went shopping for bedding and some other staples, unpacked and set up my room. I'm so happy to have my own bed and space. Still haven't seen any housemates! They're either out, super quiet and hermits or they haven't moved in yet - I don't know which, maybe it's a mix of all three. Hopefully I'll meet them tomorrow.

Tomorrow I'm off to Plumstead Manor for the day to get shown around, observe some classes and get my timetable. I'm looking forward to getting into it!
