Is it 'nik-nak' or 'nick-nack'?

Yes, it's been another wet and grey day, so here is the first peek at one of my 'treasures' from the Printers Drawer.

My Grannie made this cloisonne enamel plaque, while attending evening classes at Glasgow School of Art, probably about 100 years ago. Wow! I find that absolutely amazing! She was born in 1900.
In those days it wasn't the done thing for a girl to go to Art School, which is why she wasn't allowed to be a full-time student.
Fortunately for me thinking had changed by the time I was leaving school!
