caught in the act

I popped to see if the pair of peregrines were at home today and sure enough they were. The female perched high on the mill building and the male some way off finishing off a little lunch (couldnt actually see him but the plucked feathers floating away in the breeze gave the show away)

Then within 2 minutes of getting my camera ready the male had something else in mind and off he flew to mate with his partner. I thought a little discretion should be showed here so I am using the shot of him just after dismounting flying away.

Now I'm looking forward to snapping the offspring :))
