a foot in each camp

I've finally moved to 'the dark side' with a kindle given as a gift and now chockers with a fine mobile collection.
However a week is not a week without a trip to the local library and their 'must read' table of gems plucked from the shelves or the new arrivals.

Without a browse through those on offer I would not have stumbled upon Lesley Blanch.
What an amazing woman.
'Travelling widely and eating wildly' not only did she write twelve books she inspired a book Lady L (later made into a film starring Sophia Loren no less), was features editor for Vogue for seven years and lived a long and fascinating life. (102 is a fair innings!)

The Library Book is very cool too :)
