the Tasmanian Tiger...the largest known carniverous marsupial of modern times and sadly, extinct in the wild in 1930 in Tasmania when a pissed off farmer shot and killed the last known wild roamer and finally extinct in captivity in 1936.
Also known as the 'dog headed pouched one' it is still thought to be out there in the wilderness, part of Tasmanian mythology and the heart of a wonderful, moody film 'The Hunter'.
The unconfirmed sightings continue.

However, spotted here in WA, snoozing on a sofa bed!!
