Prophylaxis

ORIGIN mid 19th cent.: modern Latin, from pro- 2 [before] + Greek phulaxis "act of guarding."

These are the trunks of my stand of Cabbage Trees.
The cat that insists on pooing in my vege garden also likes to sharpen his claws on them. I tied some of their old fronds around them to protect them from his attacks.

This was a bit of an emergency Blip. I was annoyed to look out my kitchen window at the park a little later only to see four middleaged broadswordsman in full kit battling it out in the dusk. I hope they come back so I can Blip them another day.
