Wine Label #5

It's rainy and cold today but I actually grabbed a bag of bread and was going to head down to the water to find a feathered critter to entice into doing something spectacular. I stopped along the way at the market and this blip is the result.

Back in my early blip days I found a few wine labels I thought were interesting and they made excellent emergency blips from time to time. When I saw this label I immediately decided the warm market was a better place to be than the cold waterfront so I chickened (no pun intended) out and went with the rooster. Besides he has an interesting story:

"The Legend of Rex Golaith:
At the turn of the century, HRM (His Royal Majesty) Rex Goliath was a treasured circus attraction. Weighing in at 47 pounds, Rex was billed as 'The World's Largest Rooster'. Our wines are a tribute to Rex's larger than life personaliy with big fruit-forward flavors sure to please."

Well, here's to Rex. I hope he had a long and happy life and was treated with the proper respect befitting a rooster of his stature. Bottoms up, Rex.
