The Edge

It was a little cold and dull so we thought we'd go for a walk in some nearby woods. This area is known as The Edge and the view you can see is of the Cheshire Plain and the Pennines in the distance. It's a very old site with disused copper mines, wizardry and Druids. If interested you can read more here.

Youngest son is currently looking after the class bear, so he decided to bring 'Bertie' with him. Hubby thought it would be a good idea if we took a photo of Bertie at a cave entrance. The entrance had a locked gate across it so hubby put him the other side of the gate. As he took the photo, a gust of wind rolled Bertie away!! Panic ensued, we spent the next 30 minutes trying to find a stick long enough to reach Bertie and drag him back.

Thankfully we got him back in the end and he didn't seem too traumatised by his ordeal. I had been though, wondering how on earth I was going to break the news to the teacher that we'd lost Bertie!!
