Longevity
The journey home from Hong Kong, via Dubai as shown in this blip, took 24 hours, from leaving the hotel to opening our front door. Our Saturday lasted 32 hours in total. This set me wondering how long I would survive if every day was spent like that.
Just as well then that, on our final full day in HK (er, Friday, I think) we had a dim sum lunch at the Summer Palace, which culminated in exquisite Longevity Buns. They are the six white/pink delicacies in the steamer basket. We ordered them with sesame-coated doughnuts filled with egg custard, shown at the foot of the buns image.
What a fantastic trip. HK is a wonderful place to visit. We saw a lot in eight days but there were still places we didn't manage to visit. Thursday was the best day, with the blip meet organised so well by the lovely SweetArt at which we met Mr and Mrs CBL. Great to make new friends as well as enjoy a holiday.
Now, what day is it today???
