Kapok flowers
Lovely day today. Early-ish start on a bright, clear morning, to get HH up to the hills and onto the tee for a 9.30 shotgun start. Members and caddies, playing greensomes. The course was looking beautiful, and I lingered for a while with the cameras. Most of the flowering trees are out now - kapoks, African tulips, Acacias and quaresmas (an native Atlantic rainforest tree, which flowers in Lent - Quaresma is Portuguese for Lent).
Quick trip to the supermarket for essentials, then home to greet and be greeted by the dogs - very vocal as always. A couple of lazy hours on the porch, then back to the club for a long, cheerful lunch. In fact, had plenty of time to photograph the groups as they came in, as the round took the best part of 6 hours.
Meeting patotario and Stuart for lunch tomorrow, at the restaurant they discovered last week (she blipped the geese). She's new to blip, so do drop by and say hallo if you have a moment.
