Saturday Night Fine Dining

Today was meant to be a work day but Mr M and I went a bit AWOL at lunch time.. we had jumped in the car to go to the supermarket for general supplies and something for lunch, but the spring sunshine was so lovely that we made an on-the-spot decision to seek out a country pub for lunch.

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, I did a quick search for a country pub on the old iPhone and within minutes we were on our way!

Had a lovely (big!) lunch and I even had a pudding, which is quite unusual for me.. unlike the Cookie Monster, I'm usually too stuffed for puddings after I have demolished my main course.

We did eventually get to the supermarket to do the shopping. Doing the grocery shopping on a full stomach is always a good idea as we are much less tempted to put any little 'treats' into the trolley!

We were both still feeling pretty stuffed by 10pm tonight, so we settled on some late evening beans on toast for dinner. Can't go wrong with a good old tin of beans!
