Friday Night Rock and Roll!
It's Friday night and Mr M is stretched out on the sofa reading a book and I'm in the study, tinkering with the PC.. not exactly a very rock and roll way to spend a Friday night!
In our defence, we did watch a film earlier this evening. Mr M and I are great film fans .. which is just as well as there is generally nothing remotely watchable on the telly these days (except Sherlock - the lone daffodil which flowers on the manure heap of television viewing).
The film was 'Spring Breakers' - not an easy watch (and certainly not for the easily offended.. a few too many rudey parts on display!) but it was quite interesting in that it challenged my assumptions about who might be manipulating whom! I also really liked the cinematography which had great use of lots of vivid and saturated colours.
Since becoming really involved in photography I've become much more aware of the visual aspect of films.. lighting, colours, camera angles, set design etc. etc. Films have taken on a whole new fascinating dimension!
