Bicycles made for two

First Mountain bike orienteering competition of the year! My biking buddy Steve and I made our debut in a new age class of X60 - we were the oldest in X50 so it is a boost to be the youngest in the next class! Yes it means we are getting older but we won't mention that.

The event started from Sutton Bank giving us 3hours to collect as many points as we could by visiting check points. There was a cold wind blowing from the west so part of the challenge was how to avoid cycling into a head wind. We opted to drop down the steep climb first and head back along the top. Some serious hill climbing was involved.

A good start to the new season cycling down some new routes - despite thinking we knew the area well.
