Demolition Progress

The old cinema is now fully clad with scaffolding and protective netting. Most of the work has been taking place at the rear but preparations are underway to bring down the facia.

Just hope the protection of the wire cables works better than a previous attempt to develop the site. The weight of the protection brought down the wires so that we had live wires sparking in the street and no power. Just lucky no one was passing when it happened.

If you look to the right you can see the developers have used part of the old Fun Factory as part of the hoardings. It brings back memories of my 3 boys whizzing down slides into the ball pool.
