Mind numbing homework.
You can push a point too far, in my opinion. After I had helped young Sir to tally the almost 500 egg cups of water it took to fill a bucket, I had hoped that some inference would be used to guesstimate how to fill the next item. But no. Instead we moved to completely different items - syringes and a litre plastic box. For the record. It took 120 squirts of the syringe to fill it. He was enjoying getting wet, but by the 4th unrelated filling task, I was getting twitchy. At the same time, another one of the offspring was asking me detailed questions about receipes she wanted to try. Argh!
