The caged bird sings

I do not know if a caged bird is happy or not, nor if its singing indicates any pleasure.

But I have things to be thankful for this weekend. It rained today. 10 minutes worth of light rain has cleared the smoke away. Of course we hoped for more but any little bit is welcome. Also the daughter has done us proud and topped her class this past school term - she is such a delight sometimes.
